I know how colleges work. I help students learn how to navigate them.

For nearly 20 years, I have worked inside colleges and universities—helping students find their way through academic decisions, university policies, unexpected challenges, and all of the things that come with college that aren't covered in orientation.

My career has taken me across academic advising, student affairs, academic affairs, financial aid, admissions, faculty roles, and senior administrative leadership at institutions including Fisher College in Boston and the University of Rochester School of Nursing. That experience has given me a unique view of how colleges work across departments and what can happen when students don't know where to go, who to ask, or what questions to raise.

I founded The Campus Navigator because I've seen firsthand that successful college students need more than academic ability.

They need to know how to ask for help, how to find the right person, and how to understand a policy before making a decision. They need to know how to advocate for themselves when something doesn't seem right. Sometimes, students need an experienced person outside the institution and their family who can help them think through what to do next.

That's the role I play.

I don't navigate college for students. I help them understand what's in front of them, think through their options, and build the confidence to handle increasingly complex situations themselves. When a student or family is facing something difficult, I bring an experienced, calm perspective to help make sense of the process and determine the next step.

I earned my Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and work as a higher education consultant. I am also an active member of the Association of Higher Education Consulting and Coaching (AHECC).

I live in Victor, New York, with my husband and our two children, where life outside of work involves plenty of family, friends, travel, and cheering from the sidelines. Turns out, college students aren’t the only ones who sometimes need a navigator.
